Since 2008, I’m helping Traktor DJ’s with all kind of MIDI mapping questions in various Dj forums. If you've ever done a search online for help with some specific mapping issue, there is a good chance that you have already found my answers to your questions =) and if not, you can still open a new Thread at DJ TechTools forum or NI Traktor forum to get my best advice possible. In case that you want to learn how to build a new mapping feature then you don’t really have to download or pay for a mapping file. Searching for answers on the DJTT forum can make you a true mapping expert and help you to find shortcuts that will make you faster when DJing.
I’m also a big fan of NI Traktor Pro and I have nearly 20 years of experience with building MIDI controller mappings. During that period, I’ve built close to 100 free MAPPINGS for various controllers that are being used by thousands of Dj’s (over 100K downloads) and have invented some of unique features and the original mapping concepts. Help with your Mapping Layout design. Let me know which functions you need and you will get the perfect layout for your controller.
Build a new Mappings from the scratch. This can be anything from a basic single layer tool and all the way to the “Power User Mappings” which are offering a ton of layers of software functions.
Edit any of already existing Mappings in any way. Best places to fing Traktor mappings online is DJ Techtools MIDIMAPS section of the website. It is likely that you will find something useful, especially if you have some more popular DJ controllers. If you find the kind of mapping you are looking for be sure to support the author! Send that energy back by saying thank you, they have dedicated a lot of their time and probably went trough several prototypes before they finalized the TSI file.
Please note that some of these mappings can be incomplete or need a bug fixes or additions to the list of software functions.
Create special “Macro Effects” and “Super Knobs” (aka Instant Gratification effects) this knob can adjust as many effect parameters that you want in any kind of way.
Create automated functions in Traktor. To give you a basic idea of how this is useful, it is possible to push a button to activate your favourite effects for transitioning between the tracks and make them modulate it’s parameters automatically while still having both hands on the mixer or decks for the perfect mix!
